Goodwood eases the new car selection process
Following the £2,000 incentive scheme recently announced in the Government’s budget to scrap old cars for new, Goodwood is easing the selection process for new car buyers as the venue for a series of vehicle manufacturer track days at its famous West Sussex motor circuit.
With almost 60 marques and over 250 models currently available on the UK new car market choosing the right new car can be a confusing minefield for buyers, especially those presently driving a vehicle ten years old or older. By working in partnership with a number of marques, Goodwood will provide the perfect venue for manufacturers to showcase the abilities of their full range of new models to up to 240 prospective customers per day.
New cars can be demonstrated and test driven in a purposely designed and controlled traffic-free environment on the celebrated Goodwood circuit, with experienced instructors on hand, if required, to demonstrate a vehicles full capabilities to prospective buyers.
As well as the track, Goodwood offers some of Britain’s finest driving roads around its 12,000 acre Estate as well as the surrounding West Sussex country roads. It also has leading facilities for hosting, catering and entertaining clients, and is highly experienced at staging new car launch events and track days for a variety of automotive clients.
Goodwood welcomes the Government’s greener motoring incentive. This supports the FoS-TECH ‘green motor show’ for future sustainable transport that forms a key attraction at the annual Festival of Speed for the last couple of years. Expanding upon this, for this year’s Festival of Speed (3-5 July) Goodwood will introduce a low emission vehicle class running up the challenging Festival hillclimb for the first time. Elsewhere the Goodwood Estate has been a long-standing pioneer in recycling and is home to Europe’s largest self-sustaining organic farm.
Goodwood may even be able to assist in the scrapping of vehicles, and recycling them for the publics further enjoyment as works of art at the Goodwood Sculpture Park, or even as part of a future Festival of Speed central feature display outside Goodwood House.
Goodwood is currently compiling a timetable of manufacturer days, which will be released once finalised, enabling new car buyers to book places directly through the manufacturers or their dealer network
