$1.96 million Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport reaches production

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport was introduced last year at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in California. The first example was sold for US2.19 million and a large portion of that amount went to the Pebble Beach Company Foundation Charity.
Since then it has touched hearts and now the 16.4 Grand Sport ready to turn heads and spin some too!

It won't be a common sight as Bugatti plans to produce just 150 cars from its production line in Molsheim, France. The first 50 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sports will go to existing registered Bugatti customers.

Should we mention this would be the world's fastest roadster? If you don't believe us take a look at the figures - The 16-cylinder quad-turbo engine makes 747kW (1,015hp) and 1,250Nm of peak torque. However as the top is gone, the top speed reduces from the whimsical 407kph to a mere 360 kph. That's still a few football fields a second, enough to secure it the pole position in the fastest roadster list.

The car's structure has been modified to suit the absence of the roof by strengthening the B-Pillars which has caused the lack in top speed.

Customers get deliveries of the ultimate open-top experience in July. But that's only after they've coughed up every penny of the €1.4 million (US$1.96 million) plus taxes and transportation price tag!
